Lazuli Buntings are one of the most beautiful birds that I have seen in Northern California. Breeding males have a bright blue upper body, pumpkin chest, and white belly. Females are brown in color. These birds migrate to Western USA during summers to breed. These photos were taken at Rancho San Antonio Open Space Preserve and Vargas Plateau Regional Park (both in Northern California).
